This policy covers the aevel.co website and Aevel Tools, the Meta (Facebook) app Aevel uses to manage advertising for businesses that authorize it. Each Aevel mobile app has its own privacy policy, linked from its store page.

The website

aevel.co uses self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami) to count page views. It records the page, referrer, browser type, device type and country. It does not set cookies, does not store full IP addresses and does not track you across other sites. If you write to [email protected], your email and message are kept only to reply to you.

Aevel Tools (Meta app)

Aevel Tools connects to Meta's Marketing API only for businesses that have granted access to their ad accounts and Pages, through Meta's own permission screens. With that access it can:

• read ad account, Page and business details (names, IDs, currency, status)
• create, edit and pause campaigns, ad sets, creatives and ads
• upload images and videos supplied by the business for its ads
• read performance statistics (insights) for those ads

Aevel Tools does not access personal profiles, private messages or the personal data of people who see the ads. Statistics are aggregated by Meta. The data is used only to run and report on the advertising the business asked for. It is not sold, not shared with third parties other than Meta, and not used to train AI models.

Legal basis and retention

Data is processed to perform the service the business requested (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for website analytics, on legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). Campaign data lives in the business's own Meta ad account. Aevel keeps working copies such as reports and briefs for as long as the collaboration lasts, then deletes them within 90 days unless the law requires otherwise.

Data deletion

A business can revoke Aevel Tools at any time from Meta Business Settings, under Integrations or Business Integrations, or by removing the system user or partner access. To have any data Aevel holds deleted, write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion" and the name of the business or Page. Deletion is completed within 30 days and confirmed by email.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
